Seed Paper Details

Our cards are crafted from a softly textured paper with hand-torn deckled edges. The naturally white paper is reminiscent of a moon lit walk through a wildflower field, it’s a perfect complement to my original watercolor designs.  Each card is crafted from recycled cotton paper fibers without the use of harmful chemicals.  The cards are fully plantable and will grow a variety of wildflowers. These cards are the perfect selection to show off your eco-friendly side with a touch of original watercolor designs.

 What Seeds Are In The Paper? 

There is a mix of annual and perennial seeds in the paper.  Some seeds are barely visible, while others are easily seen.

Viability and Germination Rates

Due to the nature of plantable items, we hope you understand that growth may vary and will ultimately depend on the end user's care. Here are the steps we take on our end to ensure your seed paper is viable and has acceptable germination rates:

🪴 We order fresh seed paper often to make sure that your seed paper is viable for many months.

🪴Our seed paper is tested by us and tested by the seed supplier; Seed paper can remain viable for up to 2 years, though germination rates may decline each year. We recommend using your paper within a year for the best germination rates.

🪴We cannot stress enough how much water and sunlight affects your seeds. Unfiltered, bottled or natural spring water and avoiding extreme temperatures during germination is best. Using water with high amounts of chlorine is not recommended.

🪴Avoid planting your seed paper directly in the ground - it can dry out too easily. We highly recommend starting them in a pot or planter, near a window, and keep moist.  Cover the pot with a clear plastic wrap to create a greenhouse effect, keep the plastic wrap in place until the seedlings are well established.



How to Plant

🪴 Place the seed paper card (torn into small pieces) in a dish with a small amount of water to moisten, let sit for overnight.

🪴 Fill a pot 3/4 with soil. Place moist paper in the pot and sprinkles soil to cover the paper, with approximately 1/8 inch of loose soil.

🪴 Keep moist by misting the soil and paper. Place a piece of plastic wrap over the top of the pot , this creates a greenhouse effect.  Once seedlings are established, remove the plastic wrap.

🪴Place in 3-4 hours of indirect sunlight.

🪴You should see the start of seedlings in 1-6 weeks.

🪴 Watch flowers grow.

🪴 Plant outside once established.

We cannot stress enough how much water and sunlight affects your seeds. Germinating seeds cannot tolerate even the smallest drought.  Unfiltered, bottled or natural spring water and avoiding extreme temperatures during germination is best. We cannot guarantee establishment of plants due to the various factors over which we have no control.

• USPS Ground Advantage (standard mail): Delivers in 5-7 business days once we ship.

• USPS Priority Mail: Delivers in 2-4  days, once we ship.

• USPS Priority Mail Express: Delivers in 1-2 days, once we ship.

           RETURNS

Due to the organic nature of the wildflower seed paper cards, which are susceptible to moisture, we cannot accept returns for items that have been outside of our control.  Thank you.
